This poster was designed by Knuckles & Notch to accompany Van Lim's series of paper mache art objects for our Gachapon capsule project: Let's Play Ball – Art That Fits in Your Palm for Singapore Art Week 2023.

Buang Suay a malay term translating to ” throw away bad luck”. Buang The Suay Lucky Charms is a series of handmade paper mache sculptures that may bring you good luck if you believe in it. Each sculpture comes with a risopgrap printed keychain that you can bring around for good luck. They are 100% made by human hands with 100% recycled paper, white glue, gouache paint. Each unique to its own, may good luck befall on you.

Van Lim is an illustrator and graphic designer currently based in Singapore. She makes commercial/editorial illustrations, publications, zines, and some other stuff. She’s never afraid to experiment with graphic visuals and form.
