Fragments from Afar is an exploration into an unknown landscape revealed only by snap shots and journal entries by an unnamed individual, documenting the intrigue of a place that defies all logic and reason, yet feels so similar to scenes from back home.

Julienne Tan (b.1992 in Seoul, South Korea) is a Korean-Khmer illustrator and printmaker based between Seoul and Phnom Penh. She enjoys working with limited colours and creating surreal or nonsensical settings in flat spaces. Julienne works primarily in silkscreen and experimental printmaking methods. She graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York City with a BFA in Illustration in 2014.
