Learning Palestinian Motifs Through Linocut & Block Printing with W.L. Art Craft in Collab with K&N
We’re co-organising this 2.5-hour linocut workshop with Wan Ling from W.L. Art Craft. All proceeds will go towards supporting medical students in Gaza with continued access to education and food. ❤️🩹🍉
Guided by Wan Ling, you’ll learn to carve and print decorative motifs inspired by traditional Palestinian embroidery. These patterns, often used by women and girls, carry generations of cultural and symbolic meaning. In a time where so much is being lost, this workshop offers a quiet way to honour and reflect on Palestinian heritage through art. 🫒🕊
In Wan Ling’s words:
“While all we see and know of is the sufferance of the Palestinians, I would like to take a moment to learn about their rich culture and in this case, in the best way I know of — that is, learning history through art.” 💞
No experience needed and all materials will be provided. You’ll leave with your own hand-carved print on fabric and hopefully a deeper sense of connection.
